What we value the most is where we give our hearts to. But if what we most value is not really that valuable we are setting our selves up for major disappointment! This is especially true when it comes to life-long values. We use all our resources to get what we, deep down believe, what we think is most valuable. In the Bible we find Jesus is most valuable since He is the source of all life. We are not to maneuver for importance through our own resources because Jesus Christ is the only one who can dependably save and give what is truly life.
The fall ruined all our being and all our relationships (-> death). So there is the need for salvation/repentance, the gospel, Note: the biggest problem is not the spouse but a broken relationship with God. We must trust in God’s revealed Word and revealed Character. This we will have life to give to our spouse and family, God has given us everything we need to carry out what seems to be impossible.
